Robinhood Chain
A broker built a blockchain, and the market immediately used it for something else. This page tracks what the chain is actually doing, updated hourly, alongside every story the desk has filed on it.

What it is
- What it is
- An Ethereum layer 2 built on the Arbitrum stack, operated by Robinhood
- Chain ID
- 4663
- Public mainnet
- 1 July 2026, after a public testnet opened 10 February 2026
- Gas token
- ETH. There is no native chain token.
- Deployment
- Permissionless. Anyone can deploy a contract without Robinhood's approval.
- Built for
- Tokenized real-world assets, stock tokens and 24/7 onchain trading
- Account abstraction
- ERC-4337 supported, including sponsored gas and session keys
What to know before you use it
- One sequencer
- Robinhood runs the only sequencer, so transaction ordering, uptime and inclusion sit with a single company.
- Transactions can be filtered
- An authorised filterer can register a transaction hash in a precompile, after which the state transition forcibly fails it. Force inclusion is therefore not a reliable escape hatch.
- Upgrades without an exit window
- Core system contracts can be upgraded without a delay, so users are not guaranteed time to withdraw before a change takes effect.
- No native token
- Robinhood has not announced a chain token or an airdrop. Anything offering one is a scam until Robinhood says otherwise.
Chain design and risk properties as documented by Robinhood and by independent layer 2 researchers. This is a description of how the network works, not a view on whether to use it, and nothing on this page is investment advice.
Questions readers ask
What is Robinhood Chain?
Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum layer 2 built on the Arbitrum stack and operated by Robinhood. It uses ETH for gas, opened its public mainnet on 1 July 2026, and is designed for tokenized real-world assets and 24/7 onchain trading.
Does Robinhood Chain have a token?
No. ETH is the gas token and Robinhood has not announced a native token or an airdrop. Any offer of a Robinhood Chain token, airdrop allocation or claim link should be treated as a scam.
Can anyone deploy on Robinhood Chain?
Yes. Deployment is permissionless and the chain is EVM compatible, so Solidity and Vyper contracts and standard tooling work without modification.
What is the main risk of using Robinhood Chain?
Centralisation. Robinhood runs the only sequencer, an authorised filterer can force a registered transaction to fail, and core contracts can be upgraded without an exit window for users.

The data desk →An operator-run rollup settles to Ethereum but orders its own transactions. Here is the machinery, the tradeoffs it buys, and the specific failure modes worth knowing before you leave collateral on it.
Vlad Tenev published an argument for tokenizing US equities five days after the SEC set aside its innovation exemption for a second time. Robinhood Chain, meanwhile, printed a fresh TVL high.
Eric Trump said no new coin is launching. The rumour that moved TRUMP 38% had leaned on an unconfirmed claim about a 290 ETH wallet on Robinhood Chain.
