Efrogs Becomes GrowBlocks and Opens a One-Month Season 0 on Robinhood Chain Testnet
The team behind efrogs, the pixel frog collection that grew up on Linea, has renamed itself GrowBlocks and opened the testnet of its browser world on Robinhood Chain. Season 0 runs for one month on test credits with no value, and every XP point is recorded. The most XP goes to players who build plazas, launch coins and bring others. Press release, with a disclosure.

Disclosure: the Ledger's publisher, Shama, is the founder of efrogs and GrowBlocks. This is that team's press release, and the terms are its own.
Efrogs, the pixel frog collection that built its community on Linea, is now GrowBlocks. The team renamed its X account to @growblocksxyz and opened the public testnet of GrowBlocks, a browser world for playing, trading and building together, at growblocks.xyz. It runs on Robinhood Chain testnet, plays on a phone or a desktop and needs nothing installed.
Nothing changes for the collection, the team said: same contract, same frogs. Holders can link an efrog to their player, and it then appears on the screen of their Crew bot, the game's cube-headed robot character. The world's NFT Museum already has halls of efrogs on its walls.

What testers can do
Players sign in with Google and get a game wallet made for them, with gas covered on testnet. Guests can look around but do not get a wallet, XP or Season 0 badges. Inside, testers can walk the plazas, play matches in the Shooter Arena, trade the coins launched in the game, plan and launch a coin of their own, mint and trade pieces of NFT collections, gift coins and pieces to other players face to face, and build and publish their own plaza in the Studio.

All of it runs on test credits. Every player who signs in can claim a starter of 1,000 tPLAY and claim it again every 24 hours; the first claim of the season also pays 20 XP. Trades and launches use tPLAY, a test credit with no value, and the network fee uses test ETH. Developers can put their own games inside the world with the Dev Kit.

Testers can also claim practice Froglets, a testnet version of the efrogs offshoot, and drop them in the plaza for anyone to pick up. Like everything else on testnet, they have no value.

One month of Season 0

Everything played on testnet counts as Season 0, which lasts one month, from 28 September to 28 October 2026. Every XP point is recorded in each player's Season 0 record, the team said. The largest amounts go to players who build and bring others: 500 XP for a first plaza, 500 for a coin launch and 300 for an NFT collection, each paid once three real people have visited the plaza, traded the coin or minted from the collection, plus XP for every real visitor, trader and minter after that, up to a daily cap. Every player can also earn by trading: 10 XP for each different coin traded in a day, up to five coins. Minting, gifting and trading NFTs, picking up drops, posting about the game on X, checked against the post itself, and bringing in friends who come back to play also earn XP, alongside Shooter Arena matches, community votes, daily finds, active minutes and photos.

Only real people count toward the XP that comes from others: visitors, traders, minters and invited players must be signed in with Google, have reached level 2 by playing, have played on at least two different days and not share the earner's network. The three people who unlock a plaza, coin or collection must also be on different networks from each other. At the end of the season XP is frozen and reviewed, and the team says farmed XP will be removed.
Players who qualify can claim an OG Cube, a numbered Season 0 collectible of the GrowBlocks cube, minted on testnet in claim order. The first 100 community cubes are marked Founding 100, and cubes held by the team are marked as team cubes.
What carries into mainnet is a player's plazas, look, earned wardrobe items and Season 0 badges. Test coins, balances, rankings and invite counts stay behind, and mainnet starts from zero for everyone.
Bug reports and feedback go to the team on Telegram. A tester guide at growblocks.xyz/testers covers the first steps, XP and what carries over.
