Half of Uniswap's Record Month Came From One Chain
Uniswap took $14.81m in monthly protocol revenue, a record, and more than half of it came from Robinhood Chain, where its two deployments cleared $440m of volume in a single day.
Uniswap, the largest decentralised exchange protocol by volume, booked $14.81m of protocol revenue in a month, a record for the project, and more than half of that came from a single network, Robinhood Chain, according to Crypto Briefing. Protocol revenue here means the fee the protocol itself keeps on swaps, as distinct from the fees paid to the people supplying liquidity.
The concentration is visible in the raw trading data. Robinhood Chain, the Ethereum layer 2 run by the brokerage, did $953.0m of decentralised exchange volume in the last 24 hours, down 11.83 percent on the day but up 17.11 percent on the week, DefiLlama records. Uniswap's two deployments on the chain account for the bulk of it: Uniswap V4 at $398.2m and Uniswap V3 at $42.0m, or roughly $440m of the $953.0m total.
What is actually being traded
Robinhood Chain exists to carry tokenized equities, blockchain tokens that track the price of listed shares, alongside ordinary crypto trading. The chain holds $1.05bn in total value locked, a figure that measures assets deposited into its applications, up 1.5 percent over the week and just below the all-time peak of $1.06bn set on 14 October. Stablecoin supply on the chain is $1.06bn, so the dollar leg of most of that trading sits onchain rather than arriving from elsewhere.
The chain earned $2.5m in fees over 24 hours and $138.2m over 30 days, per DefiLlama. That is the take at the network level, separate from what Uniswap collects at the protocol level, and it gives a sense of the throughput a single layer 2 is now running.
Why one chain matters so much
A record revenue month built on one network is a different thing from a record month built on twenty. Uniswap is deployed across more than a dozen chains, and for most of its history the biggest line was Ethereum mainnet. A brokerage chain barely a few months into carrying real volume now supplying the majority of protocol revenue says less about Uniswap's product than about where equity-linked trading has gone.
It also means the revenue line inherits the chain's risk. Daily volume on Robinhood Chain fell 11.83 percent in 24 hours. The other venues on the chain are small by comparison: Fables at $42.9m, Metric V1 at $29.9m and Tessera V at $19.2m, which leaves Uniswap with a dominant but not exclusive position.
The rest of the board
Below the stock tokens, the chain's native tokens had a soft session. PONS, the token of the Pons launchpad, traded at $0.287, down 10.1 percent over 24 hours on $361.3k of volume, with a market capitalisation of $193.8m, according to DexScreener figures read at 18:25 UTC on 17 October. Cash Cat was at $0.104, down 3.6 percent, and Bundle Cat at $0.0448, down 11.2 percent. None of those moves is large against the chain's near billion dollars of daily swap volume, which is the point: the trading that pays Uniswap is not memecoin trading.
What to watch is whether the concentration holds through a quieter tape. Fee revenue of this size is a function of volume, and volume on a brokerage chain is a function of how many people are trading equities outside market hours.
