Levanto Labs Launches Sage2, a Decision Model That Streams, as Normies, Perp Flow and GrowBlocks Show What It Runs
Levanto Labs released Sage2 on Monday: Extract turns plain language into structured data, and Decide is what the company calls the first decision model with streaming. Early users came forward the same day. Normies says its autonomous agent game made more than 15 million decisions on Sage in about a month, trader Perp Flow counts more than 500,000, and GrowBlocks runs a whole social city on it.

Disclosure: the Ledger's publisher, Shama, is the founder of efrogs and GrowBlocks, one of the Sage users in this story. The Pond Street Ledger and GrowBlocks have the same owner. GrowBlocks had early access to Sage2.
Levanto Labs released Sage2 on Monday, pitching it as a new primitive for developers. "Software can now understand human language and act on it, in real time," the company wrote in its launch post. The release has two parts. Extract takes natural language in and returns structured data, and Levanto says it is 166 times cheaper than Anthropic's Opus 5.5 and beats Cloudflare's Clairic. Decide is what Levanto calls the first decision model with streaming: it reads the context as it grows, instead of waiting for the whole prompt, which the company says makes it three times faster.
Developers get 20 million tokens free to start. Sage2 is also available on NEAR AI, and AI agents can pay for it through MPP with Stripe cards or Tempo stablecoins. Levanto has not published per-token prices beyond the free allowance in the launch post.
Why streaming matters for games
A language model answers questions. A decision model picks one option from a list you give it: which reply, which move, which rule applies. Most such systems wait for the full input, then think. Decide starts working while the input is still arriving, so the answer is nearly ready when the last word lands. In a live game, where a player or an agent is waiting on the result, that difference is the gap between a world that reacts and one that stalls.
Three early users said on launch day what they run on it.
Normies: 15 million decisions in about a month
The Normies NFT project runs Normies Arena, which it describes as "a fully autonomous agent game, played 24/7". Its agents have made more than 15 million decisions on Sage in about a month, the team said on Monday, and the game has recently moved to Sage2. "In a real time game, having 150-200ms response time was what we were looking for and Sage delivers it well," Normies wrote.
Perp Flow: a trader's second brain
Sage is not only a games tool. The trader Perp Flow says they have used it "for quite some time" in two ways: as an auto trader that makes weekly decisions on their trades, and to organise their database and find patterns they might have missed. In the past month alone it has made more than 500,000 decisions for them "while significantly reducing my AI usage", Perp Flow wrote.
GrowBlocks: a whole city that decides
Where Normies' agents play on their own, GrowBlocks uses Sage for the opposite job: a world that reacts to the people in it. GrowBlocks City, the voxel city where all of GrowBlocks' games live, opens one Sage stream per player and tells it what that player does as it happens. Sage then decides how the city responds: residents run over to welcome a newcomer, a street throws a party, neighbours gossip, or, after a smashed house, the police come.
The same model runs the rest of the city. Mayor Sageino Decisionino reads every ticket players file at the Town Hall and routes it to the engineers, the help desk, the police or the bin. Residents remember players who smash their homes, and Sage judges whether an apology at the Police Station is sincere. It also screens the plaza chat for scams and insults and helps write this newspaper's city edition.
GrowBlocks publishes its counters at growblocks.xyz/sage. On Monday evening it showed 9,624 decisions that day and 24,478 so far in November, most of the day's total from games built with the GrowBlocks Dev Kit, with an average of 406 milliseconds per decision. Resident calls in the live feed came back in 83 to 136 milliseconds; heavier calls, such as the Mayor's rulings, take longer.
| User | What Sage does | Decisions | Speed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normies Arena | Runs autonomous agents in a 24/7 game | 15M+ in about a month | 150-200 ms, as needed |
| Perp Flow | Weekly trade decisions; organises a database | 500K+ in the past month | Not stated |
| GrowBlocks City | Residents, the Mayor, police, chat guard | 24,478 in November to 2 Nov | 406 ms average; resident calls 83-136 ms |
What to watch
Every figure from the three users is self-reported, and Levanto's speed and cost comparisons are its own; none has been independently benchmarked. The numbers to watch are prices once the free tokens run out, whether Decide's streaming advantage holds outside launch demos, and how many games follow Normies and GrowBlocks in letting a model make live calls for their worlds.
